If I was a writer of a television series, I’d make sure there would be a HUGE climax at the end of series one, so everyone would be left hanging and craving to know what happens next - is the hero going to live or die? Is the earth safe from the clutches of the villain? etc.
But in the next season of it, I’m not going to address it at all. Everything’s going to be happy again and nothing would’ve happened. At all. Everything would’ve returned to normal.
And when people ask me about it I’ll just respond with ‘What?’ or maybe a really long, complicated quote from nothing like ‘The sky is always blue for the strong trees that do not bow to the breeze’.
